Prayer

I want to pray hard because there are a lot of things that are happening in my life right now but the thing is sometimes I don’t know where or how to start my prayers. Did you ever feel like waking up in the morning and you just want everything to be fine? I have my prayer alarm in my cell phone every eight o’clock in the evening. I got the idea from my cousin tintin, I asked her why 8pm? She said “because it’s the only time she thinks that she has nothing so much to do or think”.

So going back to praying, as I’ve said sometimes I don’t know how to start my prayer. Do I have to start it within myself or my parents, my sisters and nephews and even my brothers-in-law and my grandmother? Or sometimes I pray to God that my relationship with Cy will be stronger. Did you ever started your prayer like everything just pop-out of your head like your parents’ health and relationship, your siblings and your nephews health also, your relationship with your boyfriend that all I can say is that “God, you know what is in my heart and mind and I don’t know where to start.  I surrender it all to you. Amen.” I know it’s a lazy person’s prayer but it was all I can think of at that moment.

As I was searching my files I saw this prayer that someone sends me in my email.

Dear Lord,

I thank you for this new day. I thank you for my being able to see, hear and feel this morning. I am blessed because you are a forgiving God and an understanding God. You have done so much for me and you keep on blessing me.

Forgive me on this day for everything I have done, said or thought that was not pleasing to you. I ask now for your forgiveness.

Please keep me safe from all danger and harm. Help me to start this day with a new attitude and plenty of gratitude. Let me make the best of each and everyday to clear my mind so that I can hear from you.

Please broaden my mind so that I can accept all things. Let me not whine or whimper over things I have no control over. It is the best response when I’m pushed beyond my limits.

I know that when I can’t pray, you will still listen to my heart. Continue to use me to do your will. Please continue to bless me that I may be a blessing to others. Keep me strong that I may help the weak. Keep me uplifted that I may have words of encouragement to others.

I pray for those that are lost and can’t find their way. I also pray for those that are misjudged and misunderstood. I pray for those who don’t know you intimately and I pray for those who don’t believe you. But I thank you that I believe,
I believe that God changes people and God changes things.

I pray for all my brothers and sisters, my mom and dad, relatives and friends and for each and every member in their households, I pray for peace, love, joy and their good health. I pray that they will be out of debt and that all their needs are met.

I pray that every eye that reads this – knows there is no problem, circumstances or situation greater than God. Every battle is in your hands for your fight, I pray that these words be received into the hearts of every eye that sees it and every ear that hears it. In Jesus name, I pray.

Amen.

I have to include there my nephews, Cy, closest cousins, bestest and true friends. This prayer has it all and I want to share it to everyone. God bless us all!

Teary Monday (But look on the brighter side)

Last Saturday evening my sister Ate Lot left to US to bring our Daddy home because he is sick. Daddy went to the US way back in 2000 to work and the last time I saw him was December of 2001 when we went to there to spend Christmas and most of all to experience snow. As far as I remember I requested him that, I went there together with my sister Darling and Mommy we can’t bring our other sisters because they’re already above 21 (US laws and policy).

Love - University of Pennsylvania
I took this one at Honda Service Center, Houston

University of Pennsylvania
With friends and co-workers of Daddy in Houston Texas
When Friendster (before) and facebook (now) became a trend we’re always saying to Daddy that he should make an account to see our latest pictures and family gatherings here in the Philippines, he would always say that I forgot my passwords and just send it in my email. I always tell him it is much easier to see the pictures in Facebook but still he rather use his email. But eventually he made an account in FB but with no pictures of him, our Daddy is not that techie he doesn't even know how to upload pictures. My sister Lot gifted him a digicam because we’re really wanted to see what he looks like already, he doesn't even know how to skype. And then one day I received an email from Ate Lot she said ‘do you wanna see what Daddy looks like?’ I said of course I do and here’s his picture way back 2009.

I told Ate Lot that he looks old already with the white hair and wrinkled face and everything, but we’re glad that we saw his latest photos. I posted this in FB and my other sister Chic saw it, she asked me where did I get the photo? It was sent to me by Ate lot through email she even said wow long hair!

And this morning the first thing I did was I checked my facebook because I left a message to Ate Lot if she’s already there. And the first thing I saw in my news feed was this photo and there you go tears chasing each other down my cheeks.

After 3 years, this is what he looks like now. I cried this whole day even now while writing this blog entry, my cousin tintin even texted me that my eldest sister cried too when she saw this photo. The only thing that uplifts my spirit and my mood today was a text from tintin she said "the good thing here is that you can still see him grows old, he will be here already at your wedding to you walk you down the aisle" "kmusta naman ako? she said in my case I can't see him (her Daddy) anymore, what he looks like or does he even laugh that loud when he's old, you know things like." Look at the brighter side :D

100th Monthsary

Cy and I see to it that we still celebrate our monthsaries (every 26th of the month) even though we've been together for a couple of years already. And yesterday was our 100th monthsary, we went to Greenbelt 5, I haven't explored Greenbelt for the reason that shops there are super I can't afford. From louis vuitton, to gucci, prada, burberry and the like, so instead I just go to SM malls or Robinsons where I can really buy things that I can afford. So anyway, Cy and I we're supposedly go to Bonifacio High Street as planned but since it was so traffic we jump out of the jeepney when it passed by Greenbelt.

We strolled and strolled and strolled until our stomachs growled... we had our dinner at Bumba Gump Shrimp and Co. you will love their interiors...

Cy ordered the Kentucky Bourbon Skewers...

...and mine was Grilled Dory with Jambalaya

...Our food was so good except for our "snobbish" waitress, beware of the name 'tine'...ugh with an E!

...Thank you ddk, you made me happy last night! I love you!

Missing Home (Albay)

Went home for a few days... and we did some Jason Bourning... my family and close friends know what it means hehe... some good news... there are new projects that our mommy is doing at home, our Lola is fine and doing well. Met again my German friends Miriam and Julia... visited a close friend from college (Dan) and saw the mass demo of my nephews Jay and Casey. And a bad news, I know I want our daddy to come home but not this way, this will be a reminder again for us that no matter what we, have to stick again like rice and hold on to the Almighty Guy above.

The peeping Mayon :D

Hope to see this beauty soon :D

Blues, Bikes, Rock and Booze

If you feel like drinking on a Monday night with a budget of about 500 pesos, drop by at Roadhouse Manila Bay. Every Monday they offer drink-all-you-can-SMB light draft beer for only 350 pesos from 8pm until their closing time which is about 12-1am (it depends).

There was an event that night at the roadhouse, the 4 Acts Pay Tribute to the Era "Before Disco", the bands played blues and classic rock songs before 1971. Another reason why we went there because we watched Sam (our friend) played with his band and he and Cy got wasted tsk!

...the bald guy is Sam :D

...drinking with the BOSS :-/

More of Vigan (and side trip to Bangui)

As promised here's more of Vigan... We stayed at Granpa's Inn with very accommodating staff they even surprised us with anniversary thingy in our room, the rate is so cheap, the room is clean and they even accept credit card yey!

Sorry for the bad photos we didn't know what happened to our camera that night, by the way Crisologo St. is so beautiful even at night so nostalgic.

Vigan Vice Mayor Lulu (floral blouse) and Irene's empanada owners Irene (pink shirt).

So here's the story how we made friends with them. After Cy found out that he lost his cell phone we went back right away to Irene’s Empanada because as far as he remember he asked permission from the waitress of Irene’s if he can charge his cell phone. But when we got there Cy’s phone was gone already (Together with the charger take note!) and the waitress told us that she didn't notice it because there were a lot of customers arrived when we left. So I just gave them my cell phone number in case someone (with a good heart and conscience) might return it to them and I told her we are staying in Vigan over night. Cy was so pissed and he decided that we look for a hotel and rest.

He slept the whole afternoon while I explore and take photos of the hotel, later that evening we decided to go back to Irene’s to try their empanada. So, me as a very talkative person I made chikka with the two new waitresses (reliever of the morning shift I think) while Cy bought 2 sodas outside. So I told them the whole story, I didn't notice that the other lady leave and went to their main branch and told the story to the daughter of the owner, then the daughter talked to me and once again I told her the story and she asked for my cell phone number and I told her as well that we are staying in Grandpa’s Inn.

So after that, we strolled around the Crisologo St. and saw this jam-packed restaurant Café Leona (someone told me that the owner is the youngest sister of Chavit) the food must be good since there's a lot of people. We ordered pasta, but while we're waiting my phone rang and it was the owner of Irene’s Empanada and told me that someone retuned Cy’s phone so I hurriedly told the cashier of Café Leona that we’re coming back and we are just going somewhere very important. So right away we went to the main branch of Irene’s Empanada together with their daughter Rovie. When we arrived, the owners Irene and husband Bobby (I think) together with the Vice Mayor of Vigan Ms. Lulu and Brgy. Kagawads were having dinner and some drinks. So we stayed, had some drinks as well and talked about how the cell phone returned to them, the owner told us that “someone” gave it back. Cy and I didn't investigate further, we just thanked them at least Cy’s phone was returned to him (but without the simcard take note again!). These people are so nice even Vice Mayor Lulu accompanied us back to Café Leona, so that's how we became friends with them. (Novela noh?!)

"What a night!" That's how Cy described it, because after the V-Mayor Lulu dropped us at Cafe Leona we saw my Auntie Kulo the eldest sister of Daddy. They attended the wedding of my niece.

Tip: If you are going to Vigan for two days only (like us) just explore the whole city, unlike us there are several places we should have gone to, like the Syquia Mansion, Hidden Garden, even the Pagburnayan and more museums. Thinking that Bangui Windmills is just 2 hours travel (told us by some locals) we did some adventures which turned out to be 4 hours travel. We should have stayed in Vigan instead of just sitting on a bus, well no regrets at least now we know and Bangui Windmills is world class destination.
